Aims
The general aim of the Walsall Academy is to maximise student performance in all its forms.
We offer a broad curriculum which includes the National Curriculum with the opportunity of specialising in more Technology, Science and Mathematics.
In the Post 16 phase, we provide a wide range of vocational and academic opportunities for students of all abilities, emphasising opportunities in Technology and use of Information Technology where appropriate.
Objectives
Specialism and Vision
The specialism of the Academy is Performing Arts, Science and Technology.
The goal is set of all students moving towards being effective independent learners to prepare them for lifelong learning. Students will be able to access the entire curriculum online.
The Academy reflects an ethos of achievement with the student successes profiled in every possible way.
The teaching methodology is wide ranging, including traditional didactic methods, investigative, group work, independent work, team teaching, etc. However, modern technology underpins the learning environment with state of the art Information Communication Technology facilities easily accessible to all teachers and students.
