Session 3 Activities - Summer Term 2012

All activities will start the week commencing Monday 16 April 2012.

 

Sporting Fixtures

Please note that there will be a huge fixture list for matches within the PE department that will be in addition to the planned activities below. This may impact upon the availability of the Sports Hall for some activities or even staff availability to fulfil a fixture, consequently an activity may be cancelled. Students will be notified in advance of such occasions via the Electronic Notice-board in the Restaurant.

Performing Arts

Students involved in the Performing Arts may also be required to attend extra rehearsals in preparation for performance. Students will be informed via the Electronic Notice-board in the Restaurant.

Music Academy

If a member of staff is unable to teach due to illness students will be informed as early as possible so that they can make alternative arrangements with parents, the Academy will also attempt to contact parents directly. Please could parents contact the Academy if their child is ill and unable to make an Instrumental lesson, in line with the policy within the contracts signed.

Sixth Form and Key Stage 4

In preparation for GCSE, BTEC or AGCE final examination and coursework moderation, students may be invited to attend a taught Session 3 in a particular curriculum area.

Registration

All students will be registered for each session and attendance information will be available from the Reception.

  • Tuesday 12 June - Dance Festival
  • Monday 18 June - Academy’s Got Talent
  • Wednesday 20 June - Sports Day (4 July - Reserve Sports Day)
  • Thursday 5 July - Summer Sizzler (BBQ followed by musical performances)
