Walsall Academy Sixth Form
Walsall Academy offers a wide range of academic and work related courses to a large Sixth Form of three hundred students.
Our prime aim is to prepare Sixth Form students for University, Further Education and the world of work. Industrial Consultants and University Admissions tutors work closely with staff, to give a quality guidance service and advice on course design.
The Careers and Industry Links Centre provides a drop in facility where students can access up to date careers information and advice.
All Sixth Form students have a three week work experience, this can be a local placement or in some cases in Europe.
Walsall Academy Sixth Form is organised in a similar way to a large city office. Our practices mirror those found in industry and commerce and students often find themselves working alongside employers who contribute to the courses.
Dress Code
Smart office wear should be worn to conform to the highest standards found in the modern workplace. The Sixth Form students are expected to dress in smart office wear. The rule is simple. Expect to be interviewed for a job at any time and dress appropriately. Jacket, collar and tie, a suit or skirt are acceptable.
