Welcome to Walsall Academy
The Academy here in Bloxwich, Walsall opened in September 2003. In September 2008 the student enrolment is 1150 with approximately 250 students in the Sixth Form.
The School is one of a number of City Academies to be established in England and is sponsored by The Mercers' Company of the City of Londonand Thomas Telford School, Telford, Shropshire. Free education is provided for all students. The School is funded through a joint scheme between the Government and the Sponsors. There are no fees and applications are invited from eligible students whatever their ability.
