Building on Key stage 2

We believe that learning a language will enrich our students’ cultural and global awareness, enabling them to gain a wider understanding of the world and ultimately become open-minded and well-rounded citizens. The world is wider than Walsall!

Having another language allows you to view the world through a different lens!  The vast majority of students in our school study French or German at KS3, and regardless of socio-economic background, continue their language learning formally at KS4.  We encourage those who have shown exceptional aptitude at KS4 to continue to KS5 and beyond and are immensely proud that we had our first student going on to study Languages at Oxford University in 2021, with further students pursuing Languages at degree level every year since!
